Welcoming Committee

The welcoming committee at Saint George Church is a group of parish members charged with the responsibility of welcoming new members to the parish. They organize several social events throughout the year.

"He received all who came to him."
(Acts 28: 30)

The Cursillo movement has been active in the Erie Diocese since 1963. It is a method for living one's faith with twofold goal. The first goal is the internal renewal of the person. The second goal is the Christianizing of the person's environment.

"Where two or more gather in my name,
I shall be there with them."

Family Honor Affiliate

Saint George Church is host to a new and exciting regional program aimed to help our young people understand and respect the gift of love and sexuality according to God’s plan.

Outreach for Persons with Disabilities

This advocacy group of Saint George Church promotes disability awareness and pursues inclusion and participation within our parish.

Social Concerns (Giving Tree)

The social concerns group of Saint George Church is a group of individuals that collect and sort gifts received and deliver them to the respective agencies involved. Gifts are provided for families enrolled in the parish food bank and those in the Emmaus Ministry.

"In every way I have shown you that by hard work of that
sort we must help the weak, and keep in mind the words of the
Lord Jesus who himself said, "It is more blessed to give than receive."
(Acts 21: 35)
