This group generously gives their time to the preparation for celebrating Mass as well as all other functions in the church. This includes setting out the priest’s chalice, water and wine, hosts, and wine for distribution, finding parishioners to volunteer to carry up the gifts, and make sure the servers and celebrant are properly attired. The sacristan must also be sure that a lector is available as well as the cantor, servers, and Eucharistic Ministers. Sacristan distributes the gluten free hosts at any given Mass.

Major events include Holy Week, Easter Vigil, Easter Sunday, First Communion, Confirmation, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Directions for specific holidays are received from the clergy.

There are no meetings.

Requirements include must have Act 44 Clearance, attend a class on child safety, and be a Eucharistic Minister. New sacristans must attend a training session by Deacon Bob Ball.
