Reconciliation

"Those who appraoch the sacrament of Penance obtain pardon from God's mercy for the offense committed against him, and are, at the same time, reconciled with the church which they have wounded by their sins and which by charity, by example, and by prayer labors for their conversion." (1422 Catechism of the Catholic Church)
Children are generally prepared to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation for the first time when they reach the second grade. They are prepared through a special program and must already be attending religious education classes or Saint George School. Older children may be prepared separately from the second graders. For further information, please contact Kris Rudy in the Elementary Religious Education Office.
The Sacrament of Reconciliation is offered on Saturdays after the 8:00a.m Mass and Saturday afternoon from 4 –5p.m. Individuals may call the parish office to arrange for a personal appointment to celebrate the sacrament.
Parish penance services are held during Advent and Lent and are announced in the parish bulletin.
If you forgive anyone's sins, they are forgiven; if you retain anyone's sins, they are retained. John 20:23
